Often described as 'visionary', Michael Roberts is a former Fashion Editor of the Sunday Times, Style Director and Art Director of Tatler and Design Director of British Vogue, Paris Editor of Vanity Fair and contributing Editor of Condé Nast Traveller. An acknowledged Illustrator and Film Maker, Michael Roberts is a recipient of an MTV award for his first and only video.

For over twenty years, Michael Roberts has been a contributing photographer and illustrator to L'Uomo Vogue, British Vogue, Vogue Japan, French Vogue, Vogue Hommes, Vogue Espana, GQ (US, British & Italian), Vanity Fair, The Sunday Times, Independent on Sunday, Interview, V Magazine, i-D, and the New Yorker. In 1997, Michael Roberts was appointed Fashion Director of The New Yorker Magazine. He is currently the Fashion and Style director of Vanity Fair.

In 1998, Callaway published his first book of illustrations entitled 'The Jungle ABC', which was followed by 'Mumbo Jumbo' in 2000. A third character based book 'Snowman in Paradise', Chronicle, was published 2004. Recently he collaborated with Grace Coddington to art direct and edit 'Grace' Thirty Years of Fashion, Steidl, who published to much acclaim "The Snippy World of Fashion Artist Michael Roberts" a collection of his illustrations for which he was described as the Cocteau of the fashion world. Fall 2007 sees the publication of his first photography book "Shot in Sicily" which presents Michael's complex view of Sicily beyond the world fashion over a period of twenty years.
